FAQ

Q: What material do you use for your retainers?

A: The material we use is Invisacryl Ultra, which is an incredibly strong and crystal clear material.

Q: How do I get a replacement?

A: Please navigate to the reorder page at the top of the website and select the type of replacement you would like to order. During the checkout process, please provide the original name you used for your previous order.

Q: Do you have instructions on how to take my impression?

A: You can access detailed instructions, an impression video, and information on common mistakes on our instructions page. We have found that providing digital instructions rather than paper instructions can offer clearer guidance, resulting in better quality impressions.

Q: I think I messed up on taking my impression - what do I do?

A: After you take your impression, make sure to send us an email with a photo of your impression(s). We will then evaluate them. Depending on the quality, we may need to send you extra putty to take your impression again. That's why we recommend purchasing extra impression putty.

Q: Are your retainers the same as what I get from the dentist?

A: Yes, we use the same technology and high-quality materials that they use in dental offices. The main difference is we offer them at a fraction of the price. Another difference is that you take your impressions at home. We also offer low-cost lifetime replacement orders after your initial order, which can save you thousands of dollars in the long run.

Q: How thick are your retainers?

A: Our retainers are 1mm thick.

Q: How does it work?

A: Within 24 hours of your purchase, we will ship out an impression kit. Please make sure to carefully read the instructions before taking your impressions. Once you have completed your impressions, simply mail them back to us using the prepaid mailer provided. Once we receive your good impressions, we will begin manufacturing your retainers, and they will be shipped out within 5 business days.

Q: Why are your prices so much cheaper?

A: We are a direct-to-consumer company, meaning that we cut out the middleman. When you order from your dentist, you're going to have to pay that hefty dentist tax.

Q: Can I order extra putty in case I mess up?

A: Absolutely, you can even order extra putty with your original order.

Q: What are the most common mistakes when taking an impression?

A: A few of the most common mistakes are: creating a shallow impression, not making the molars deep enough, hitting the side of the tray with your teeth, and letting the putty harden while mixing.

Q: What's your return policy?

A: If you're unhappy after receiving the final product, you can mail back the retainer(s) within 30 days of the original purchase. We will then refund your order (minus the cost of materials). However, we are more than happy and willing to help fix any issues you are having with your retainer(s). Please feel free to reach out to us with any concerns or issues you have.

Q: Do you charge for shipping?

A: All our retainers come with free 3-way shipping.

Q: What trim line do you follow?

A: Our standard protocol is a straight cut at the gingival zenith.

Q: Will these make my teeth straight?

A: No, these are retainers, not aligners. They are meant to keep your teeth in place or prevent them from shifting out of place.

Do you ship internationally?

A: At this time we can only ship within the United States.
